My Story
For twenty years, Mr. Azriel Hemar served as the Deputy Chief Scientist in the OCS-Office of the Chief Scientist (currently called the Israel Innovation Authority) of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Labor of Israel (currently Ministry of Economy).
In this position he was responsible for policies to augment the competitiveness of Israeli industries and creation and management of industrial R&D international cooperation programs. He had gained a wide, diversified, experience during many years of service in industry and public bodies, in different capacities. He has profound expertise in R&D policy and how to create a “Knowledge Based” ecosystem and vast international experience, promoting Israel as an attractive target country for investment, particularly in high-tech industries; raising the awareness of the VC industry, strategic partners and MNCs.

Azriel Hemar represented Israel and the Ministry of Industry Trade and Labor in many negotiation and policy presentation visits to partner countries, was invited as a guest lecturer in many conferences and seminars. He headed, managed and organized many delegations as well as hosted official and business delegations.
Azriel Hemar is an Aeronautical Engineer from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
Prior to joining the OCS, he held senior R&D and marketing positions in Israel Aircraft Industries, government, and diplomatic position in Europe.
After retiring from the OCS Azriel Hemar managed his own consulting firm.
